Design Highlights
The obverse shows Attila mid-charge on horseback, twisting in the saddle with his bow fully drawn. He wears a fur-trimmed helmet, and his horse surges over a rocky riverbed with its mane and tail streaming behind. Mounted warriors, a pine forest, and a snowcapped peak fill the background, with “ATTILA THE HUN” arcing across the top. The bow is a fitting detail, since the Huns were known for their skill as mounted archers.
The reverse carries the Legendary Warriors arsenal design shared across the series. Swords, spears, battle axes, a flail, and a bow fan out from a central shield boss set over weathered wooden planks. “LEGENDARY WARRIORS” frames the top, and “1 oz 999 FINE SILVER” runs along the bottom.
Historical Significance
Attila the Hun led the Hunnic Empire during the fifth century and became known for his military strategy and highly mobile mounted forces. His campaigns against the Roman Empire pushed Hunnic influence from the Balkans westward into Gaul, the region that is now France. His empire declined quickly after his death in 453 AD, but his reputation as a conqueror lasted for generations and made him one of antiquity’s best-known military leaders.
As the final design in the Legendary Warriors series, the Attila round completes a 15-design lineup of history’s famous fighters. For collectors, it is the last piece needed to finish the full set. For stackers, it offers 1 troy ounce of .999 fine silver with more detailed artwork than a standard generic round.
