***COINS WILL HAVE SLIGHT RIM TONING***
Minted each year since 1983, the Chinese silver Panda coins celebrate China’s most iconic creature.
The 2015 coins were a particularly special mintage. Firstly, they were the last year that the coins weighed 1 troy ounce. From 2016 onwards, the coins moved to the metric system, now weighing 30g each. Secondly, this was the only year that there was no stamp of weight and purity on the coins.
However, each coin does still weigh 31.1 grams (1 troy ounce) and contains .999 pure silver.
Coin Highlights:
- Contains 1 oz of .999 pure silver
- Last Panda release weighed in troy ounces
- Only Panda release to not specify weight and purity on coin
- Face value of 10 (Yuan) backed by the Chinese Communist government
The 2015 Chinese Silver Panda Coin continues the popular theme by featuring the image of a single Panda which appears to be sitting on the forest floor eating bamboo leaves.
The obverse side of each coin depicts the familiar Chinese Temple of Heaven along with the inscription for Peoples Republic of China spelled out in Chinese characters.
