2020 Perth Mint Silver Koala Coin 1oz

The popular Australian Koala Silver Bullion Coin Series returns in 2020 with a new interpretation of the bear-like marsupial. A national symbol, the koala spends large amounts of time sleeping in trees and eating leaves from its preferred species of eucalyptus tree.

The 2020 Australian Koala bullion design portrays a koala in its typical habitat – on a tree branch – in a simple yet effective artistic expression. Also included in the design is the inscription ‘AUSTRALIAN KOALA’, the weight and fineness, 2020 year-date and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.

Issued as Australian legal tender, the 2020 Australian Koala is offered in 1 kilo and 1oz versions only.

Just 300,000 of the 1oz coins will be released. The kilo coin’s mintage is unlimited.
